Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST

This webinar is the follow-up to the Documenting the Death Scene webinar and will cover and expand upon many “must know” facts surrounding death scene investigations that are not typically covered in standard training. Many of the topics covered here have been generated from questions arising from the Documenting the Death Scene webinar. Bloodstains on potential suspects vs. bloodstains on the person who tried to render aid to the victim; when and how to consider testing for gunshot residue; issues in collecting DNA evidence; specific issues/evidence at death scenes involving firearms, and identifying complex types of evidence are just some of the many topics that will be discussed. This training is for anyone who will be investigating a death scene, including police officers, detectives, death scene investigators, and crime scene technicians. It is not necessary to have attended the original Documenting the Death Scene webinar in order to attend this training. This program contains graphic scene photographs and actual case examples to illustrate the training material.
